Today we’d like to introduce you to Darnesha Higginbotham.
Hi Darnesha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My story is like the one that never ends, and something is always happening to make things happen. I have come from a background where verbally expressing yourself was disrespectful. My parents were neglectful of inappropriate things taking place in my life that had no explanation, and following in their footsteps of them didn’t motivate them to change. I am here due to my ancestors placing me in the right direction, with strangers helping me along the way. God kept reminding me who I am, and year after year, I would lose so much to understand still not. When I became one with source, I knew what my purpose was, and that was expressing myself through my art of being. Experiencing having a soul is the most beloved position to have. Knowing that everything will be given to you 10 fold became an inspiration. I want to be a lucrative pay freelance model with a dream to love who you are. I am thrilled to be who I am today and truly grateful to fulfill my destiny.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
When has it ever been? It the quite the opposite, to be exact. I’ve received the heaviness of not wanting to try when it came down to my family doing the right things for their lineage, not getting the help I needed from the abuse I’ve experienced at my mother’s house. My grandmother passed away, switched high schools, lost friends, suffered more verbal abuse at other family members’ homes, was preyed on by older men, experienced homelessness, sleeping at bus stops. To becoming a mother, moving from hotel to hotel, sneaking somewhere to sleep where they don’t allow children, with my newborn. By this time, I moved to Oklahoma with my daughter’s father to go through more times of not having my own; still traumatized from my teen years as a young adult mother now, I received more stagnation with him, separated from him.
In contrast, he has his daughter until I build my foundation. Still have a caring heart towards my daughter’s father; we fight, I lose custody of her, gain her back, attracted another mate by this time, and have my own home without my new mate. We started having problems when I found out I was pregnant again and unhappy in Oklahoma. I allowed my father to live with me to help me, and I chose to move to San Antonio. Four years down and still surviving in what I believe in and building my family from scratch.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a freelance model with a stage name, LadyDAH. I have been modeling consistently for the past 2 years. I specialize in bringing my visions to life. I have so many downloads throughout the day I have to write down my ideas to keep up. It’s a never-ending cycle when something you see that you can make happen can be brought into this light of awe. I am known for being odd, weird, and exotic with my looks month-to-monthly. I am most proud of the person I can transform to be who everyone sees; certainly, my children are proud of me. What sets me apart is being resilient when situations put me in situations, to have to compete with other beings to remain on top. I am a person with many flaws who creates nations with my mindset alone. The confidence in this industry is to be the greatness within you. When you do the work, the outside will show.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
The best way is by word of mouth. Being genuine when you support us will reflect how we grow as a people on Earth. Being yourself, stating your goals with your career, and being open are great ways to collaborate with anyone. Supporting you by watching me, and wanting you to do better, is a wonderful feeling for me. Wanting to help others is another excellent way of working with me on any project.
