Meet 34K

Today we’d like to introduce you to 34K.

Hi 34K, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My love for music began with the game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. I was in love with this game and grew an appreciation for the guitar. I grew to love the songs in the game as well. The game inspired me to start to learn guitar at the age of 11. I spent the next few years looking up how to play my favorite songs on YouTube.

I began writing songs at age 15 and acquired the stage name 34K from my middle school basketball coach. I wrote, produced, and released my debut EP “Wishful Thinking” in the fall of 2017 and have continued to create more music. I was also afforded the opportunity to produce “Ok” and “Not Tonight” from Ariel Corinne’s debut EP “Yellow”.

I currently perform around San Antonio and have been working on my next project which will be released in 2022.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has been great so far, but there were times when I have doubted my ability to continue to improve and perform live. I have been able to overcome these obstacles by having support from my friends and family. My loved ones have always reminded me that I can do it as long as I put my mind to it!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer/songwriter, producer, and guitarist. I am known for the R&B/Soul genre, and most of the compliments I receive is about my voice! I believe what sets me apart from others is that I have skills in multiple areas of the music-making process. I was able to complete my first EP entirely by myself.

This is includes writing, producing, performing, and mixing the EP. I have also worked with other artists with songwriting and producing. I guess you can call me a jack of all trades!
